PostI'm learning to paddle. I did the lower a couple of times this year. I've also been out to wautaga lake a few times. I bought a rec kayak and am looking forward to spring so I can upgrade to a better boat. .. I've also swam a few of the drops on the upper Nolichucky, but that's been a few years. ..In November it a trip to Myrtle with it for some fishing at Cherry Grove.

PostThanks for the heads up. I caught it a couple of hours later on a rerun. .. I can relate to the yellow jacket scene, somewhat. A buddy and I were at one of our spots when all of the sudden I felt the sting on my hand. I kept walking. A few seconds later I heard Joe speaking in many tongues. Apparently I stepped on the hole which got them agrevated. .. We had a one hour hike, straight up a mountain, to get back to the truck. He had at least 20 stings. I always carry benedryl for my bee problems s…

PostThat does suck. Glad you were able to find out before something major happened. last year when we went to do our taxes we found out there was a hold on it. Our daughter had passed away and someone used her on their taxes. It took us a long time but finally received our refund after the fraud was investigated . I just wish they would tell us who did the fraud and used our angel daughter on their taxes.

If your going out for just a weekend, look in the freezer section. They have grilled chicken and bags of beef for fajitas. We've used this and it works well. Our walmart also carries the packs of chicken and beef crumbles. We didn't care too much for the beef so last month we dehydrated our own and it turned out Great!

PostQuote from WiseOldOwl: “Dmax would that not require a greenhouse to grow it?” People can grow domesticated seng in their yards but it doesn't bring nearly as much money as wild seng does. I also don't know if it is still illegal here to remove the seeds from the patch. The rule was to squeeze the seeds and replant right in the area where the seng was dug.

Ginseng Hunting
PostIf you know where there is a "ton" of it, let us all know. Right now I think it's going for $650 per pound dried weight. I'm not sure what they are paying for wet root. Our season here in Tn starts September 1st. It last until the frost. .. I hate the shows they have on now showing people going out and digging seng. You are supposed to replant the seeds and leave around 30% of the patch for future growing seasons. I'm scared people are going to go out and pick every plant they see. I break the s…
