I get told I'm too old to be hiking every time I load up the pack. Even my orthopedic doctor told me I should never be out more than a couple days at a time with my back issues. Isn't it strange how having no plan starts to all work out. My only plan was to get back to the trail where I left off sometime this spring. Getting ready to go to work. It's going be a long john night with lows supposed to be 1 degree. Have no Idea what the wind chill will be. Thank goodness I only have to make rounds twice a night and they are inside a building part of the way.

I just reread this a couple days ago. I had forgotten how dangerous the first couple of chapters make the trail sound. I'm not going out there anymore. Only kidding. If it was that dangerous we would loose more thru hikers to bears and disease than to boredom.
