    I took the dog for a walk in the park and found this ginormous puff ball fungus. For scale OMO's size 12 feet are convenientl one food long.appalachiantrailcafe.net/index…6413ce26d651773b5893d8f43

    Nice, slice it open. As long as it is completely white in side it is edible. Puff Balls are the 'tofu' of mushrooms. They take on the flavor of what you cook it with.

    I had to be "that guy" this morning. I took Dad to a lab to get some blood drawn for some medical tests. The lab has a requirement -- clearly posted -- that eveyone is required to wear a mask. Waiting room is at full capacity, and almost everyone there…

    after a whlie the trail had changed from a fairly narrow rut to a woods road,with a bed of fist sized rocks, waterlogged in some places and the footing was a bit dicey. I told Bill that there seemed to be a lot less poop on this trail as we continued…
