Amount Name
2 Tablespoon Water
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Oatmeal (Quick Type)
1 Tablespoon Golden Syrup or Honey
1 Cup Flour
0.75 Cup Flaked Coconut
0.5 Cup Butter
1 Teaspoon Baking soda
Preperation
1) Mix sugar, flour, coconut and oatmeal
2) Melt butter and honey over low heat
3) Boil water and add baking soda to water
4) Mix water with butter
5) Mix butter mix with dry ingredients
6) Teaspoon size pieces onto greased baking pans
7) Baked at 325° for about 12 minutes

Variations
  • Add orange zest and vanilla
  • Add raisins and cinnamon
  • Substitute molasses for golden syrup
2600 calories for the whole batch. I made thirty biscuits. 136 calories per ounce.
