AK, where do you stand on the safety of consuming water boiled in an aluminum container? Is there an issue? Is it a parts per million or permissible exposure limit issue? Is there an real danger?

I get a lot more aluminum from the alum-ammonia process that my town's waterworks uses to flocculate out particulates than I do from aluminum cooking gear. The early research linking aluminum with Alzheimers did not stand up when people tried to replicate it. Dietary aluminum is poorly absorbed, and aluminum that is absorbed is eliminated rapidly through the kidneys. People who don't suffer from chronic renal failure, and don't have, say, industrial exposure to aluminum fumes, have little to worry about.
