sadly that happen to me on a Mickey dee's burger 30 years + ago, that tooth now has a $600 dollar crown...bastards.

Pancakes with mushrooms? That ain't right! Quinoa? Freakin' sun dried maters?! I'm gonna puke! Back in 1976 we hiked the whole freakin' AT eating nuthing but those, big-assed, uh, bun thingies ... In town we'd pound down cheeseburgers, beer, pizza, milkshakes and beer. Got all the vegtables I needed in town. Ketchups a veggie ain't it?

Then we'd get back on the trail and do it all over again. Ain't rocket science dude. Didn't hurt nobody. But I guess we had simpler needs back in 1976.

Granola with chia seeds?! Well, you can hike your own hike. And by that I mean get yer hippie ass outta my face!

I found a packet of flax seeds in an AT shelter in Maryland. I was hungry, so I ate them. I wonder if chia seeds are any better. I saw a big bottle of chia seeds at Big Lots.

chia seeds are one of the ingrediants in my smoothies, but any flavor they provide is prety much diluted when used like that.

my first trip to the whites in '76 we brought pancake batter, but no butter or shortening, no pan to make them and no spatula. we had scrambled pancakes-not recommended.

I made a tasty breakfast yesterday. It's more for the leisure hiker because it took some time and used quite a bit of fuel.

1 carton of Egg Beaters. Freeze at home and eat the first morning out. 1 carton fed 3 of us.
Sharp cheddar cheese
Precooked bacon
1 boilable bag packitgourmet.com/BoilableBags.html

Pour 1/2 carton of eggs in the bag, fold the top, and place in a pot of boiling water. Occasionally take the bag out and squeeze the eggs or stir with a long-handled spoon
Add cheese and bacon towards the end or whenever you want.

are linked to a longer life. A team of researchers fed a selection of roundworms a good dose of niacin and the introduction of this new
element increased their lifespan by one-tenth longer, in comparison to their Vitamin B3-deficient worm friends.

You can find niacin in paprika, sun-dried tomatoes, marmite (yech), peanuts but most importantly bacon.
The study purports that niacin fools the body into thinking that it's performing physical exercise, even if you might just be channel surfing
on the couch. If you were thinking about scooping up that bacon-covered donut for dessert later today, you might as well, just consider that
taking a tip in the fountain of youth.

It takes time, I don't even do coffee in the morning or whiskey at night on a long hike (I know, why bother going) but do enjoy them on a week end hike. Last night I had marinated ribeye, mushrooms, onions, bell pepper, carrots for dinner...oh yeah...and wine...and whiskey.

A whole pack of ready to eat bacon 3 pieces of wheel bread with 2 pieces of cheese and some mustard. Built like a Big Mac. CIB, Nido and 2 coffee packets. Hot if you like but cold works. Not too cold because Nido doesn't do well cold.
