If the article is correct it sounds like you can kiss Maine good bye. I wonder if the ATC will have anything to say about this.

Hello Guys,
Sorry I have not posted much this week. Truth is, I had some minor surgery done this week, and it has put me in a bit of a funk. I feel worse, not better. I cannot walk far, which has me worried about my hiking plans for the summer.
But, right now I am in my hammock outside my house. I have slept outside for the past five days. I cannot walk far, but I am part of something bigger than myself. The barred owls call 'who cooks for you?' The coyotes are yipping and howling. They are making some terrible sounds I miss all this when I sleep inside. So right now, this is my hope and optimism. I am lucky to live where I do, to be part of this.
I'm sure things will improve with time. I look forward to every sunrise. To tomorrow!

No worries, I was just having a bit of a pity party for myself last night.
Today I went to work. The walk from the parking lot to my office seemed long, but I am feeling better every day.

Got my new hammock rigged up, I love it. Listening to the birds sing. No cicadas yet. The only thing missing is a glass of wine...BRB.

From time to time my wife, Kathy, talks about getting a hammock but so far hasn't. I think she's overwhelmed by the choices.Traffic Jam wrote:

Is she Interested in one for backpacking or recreation? The backpacking set-ups are overwhelming to me. Not so much the actual hammock as the rain flys, the underquilts and how everything fits together. I would love it if a good hammock manufacturer offered field lessons.LIhikers wrote:
