Hikerboy! Thank you!
I'm still trying to figure out why I have all these pairs of (COTTON!) pants when I only have two legs.
Yesterday I was in the grocery store for the first real time since I finished, and I was desperately hunting for foil packs of tuna. Then I remembered I can buy CANS.
It's all so new, this strange and frightening indoor world!
I love the new place. Thanks for building it!

My sister and brother took me to a diner to celebrate. They're not hikers. They were laughing and teasing after breakfast. My sister said, "I'm gonna go use the privy." And my brother laughed and said, "I'm gonna go use the privy, too." And I said, "I'm gonna go poop in the parking lot."

Is that a no no or something?

Did that grocery store accept your Karma points? I've got 3 that are burning a hole in my pocket.

My first visit, just read the warnings before enty...no moderator?!!!!!....ummm...what do I want to discuss first, politics or religion. I actually did break the rules and have a lively politcal conversation at Joe Mitchell's hostel in Catawba in October with a very liberal hiker (BTW, I'm so far right I consider Attila the Hun a liberal), no guns were draw, just small knives. We both offered our views, then he played the guitar, another hiker played a banjo and I sang(?), we parted friends. I told him we needed to talk religion if our paths cross another night. Spent the night at a shelter with him two days later and we talked religion, we had some disagreement there as well but I truely enjoyed the conversation. There was a lot we disagreed on but we parted as friends. Moral: people don't have to agree on everything to be friends.
