Has anyone ever mixed their beers? I was at a tap house recently and mixed a chocolate stout with a vanilla ale. It was like eating an Oreo, but not as sweet. Delicious!

black and tan is half guiness and half bass ale but i prefer my guiness straight. other variations include guiness and harp and guiness and hard cider.

Don't have time to read through all these posts, but to the OP...
I understand your objection to fruit-y-fied beer. However, there are some styles of fruit beer that have a long tradition in brewing such as the fruit Lambics and Krieks. And there is no denying that modern brewers have come up with some fantastic tasting, innovative fruit-beer recipes. A New Glarus 'Serendipity' or Hill Farmstead 'Lemon Cello' may change your mind about the style. Seek them out.

That's all well and good but have you ever stayed at a Holiday Inn Express?

I was told there is an art to blending beer. I have one bottle of chocolate stout and one bottle of banana bread that I want to blend. Any tips? Pour them at the same time? Pour them one at a time?

I like fruity beer on a hot, summer day. Stiegl (sp ?) is a favorite...it's blended with grapefruit.

Well that didn't take long. One beer down, a few more to go... This one is Smithwick's Premium Irish Ale. A nice brownish amber color. 4.5% alcohol. Nice and smooth, another winner for me. Dang this is fun!

You are lost HB. This is the beer thread.

Today's beer is Pilsner Urquell, a Czech pilsner. Label says that this is the original pilsner, brewed in the same place, the same way since 1842. It's got a nice golden color to it, good head, and smooth taste. 4.4% alcohol. Good with jerky and football.

I bought an Angry Orchard hard cider the other night when I got my assorted six pack. It's not bad, I don't think I'd ever buy it regularly-but it would be good on a hot day. Tastes like regular cider but 5% alcohol.
