I'm not much of a mixed-drink drinker but I had one margarita tonight...now it's time for beer. Cheers.Lost in the right direction.

Just announced Yuengling breaks the barrier to light watery low calorie drinks, to well balanced beer and aromatic hops. Tremendously well thought out and full of flavor...Zero bitter after taste! Has a full nose and shocking indian pale with a lager - NOT ale!

AS A RETIRED BARTENDER... The best part of discovery is finding fun new drinks. Clearly the long Island made Fireball has stood the Whiskey manufactures on their heads.....
Jack has done it... far less sweet - fun and light... outstanding

I can't drink lagers anymore. Just ales. When I go to the local microbrewery, I always just have one. I tell the bartender they are much better off if I have one beer often than alot of beer once.

I bought a 6-pack of It's Not Your Father's Root Beer, wasn't expecting to be able to give it away to a drunk but it's pretty dog gone good, was planning to try a root beer float but this 6 didn't stay around long enough, maybe next time.I may grow old but I'll never grow up.

Root beer is not popular here.
The Australian palate (mine included)) finds it distasteful -very.
Found out what a root beer float was in a little place called Hemlock Hollow. Very much enjoyed one with lemonade substituted. These are popular here with any soda of your choosing. We call them spiders. Don't ask me why.Resident Australian, proving being a grumpy old man is not just an American trait. -

God I love beer. I'm right now drinking a high ABV stout brewed by the local Terrapin brewery.
So on my hike, I decided once and for all not to go back to teaching...at least not right now. I'm trying, instead, to get my foot in at a beer brewery in hopes of one day starting a business in beer myself. I have this vision of a place I saw in Hiawasee...a small venue with 10-12 quality brews on tap specializing in growlers, selling 6-packs, but also having 3-4 small tables for folks to enjoy a pint or two and a coffeehouse type of environment.
Athens is a beer loving town with 3 breweries, a brew pub, and good beer showing up in restaurants where it used to not. I think the Beer coffeehouse has potential here...
now if I only had any idea about how to start a business. I know the beer part. Very well.www.appalachiantrailclarity.com - Life on the A.T.

Yesterday, I got the growler filled with Highland Cold Mountain Winter ale. It was really good. I'm definitely drinking this one again.Lost in the right direction.

I confess- that I did not know what a growler was until last week when I walked into a new beer place next to (and now a part of ) a restaurant we go to. They probably have about 75 to 100 brews on tap. I could get hooked. I had thought a growler was just a big glass of beer when I heard people talking about them. I think they are pretty new to this area. Legends here used to do refillable six packs of 12 oz bottles."Dazed and Confused"
