My TV news showing damage from storms and tornadoes from Virginia to Pennsylvania. I hope all of you are well and unscathed.
But the bast#rd in me can't resist posting this picture I took today.....Resident Australian, proving being a grumpy old man is not just an American trait. -

That is taken about 15km from the southern terminus of the Bib. The ocean is the Southern Ocean. Temp was low to mid 70's.
Glorious day.
On the way back to town I picked up a section hiker 5km from town. I could tell he wanted a lift. Walking painfully on the grass verge next to the (at that point) tarmac footpath.
Had a coffee with him while he had a burger. Great day.Resident Australian, proving being a grumpy old man is not just an American trait. -

Warm weekend with temps in 50s.I am human and I need to be loved - just like everybody else does

It was cool enough here that my condensation from breathing froze on the underside of my tarp last night. But the 4 oz of down that I had EE add to my Rev X quilt kept me warm- I think it got down to 21*. My head got a little cold as I just had my "heavy" buff on. I will change this to buff + wool or fleece cap."Dazed and Confused"

I watched the sky turn from mostly clear to all gray. The temperature dropped from 50F to near freezing. The weathermen might be right about the snow coming.I am human and I need to be loved - just like everybody else does

just read where they issued a weather advisory calling for an inch of snow in NE georgia, which of course is where a popular hiking trail goes thru. hope last weekends fantastic weather didn't fake out thrus who started then.
locally, i got caught in a light rain which i ignored until it started to sleet. i figured that was my sign to turn around. so just a short 3 mile day.
edit to add: don't laff those that live above the mason-dixon line, but most of the schools in NE georgia closed 2 hours early. the ones that stayed open cancelled after school activities.2,000 miler -

11 deg F on the dashboard thermometer during this morning's commute. Cold for March, but it's supposed to be in the 50's next week.
