On a selfish note related to the fires in TN, does anyone have any info on if/how it has affected the interstates? Driving Thursday from Marietta GA to Frederick MD. Plan was to take I-75 to 40 to 81. 85 to 77 to 81 is another option, but given that we're planning to leave fairly early Thursday morning, I'd MUCH prefer not to head into the maelstrom of Atlanta traffic as opposed to 75 north's usually clearer sailing in the morning.
A good site for current road conditions throughout the US. Just plug in the road #s.
Don't consider the request selfish, just prudent.

It is currently -1degree F and I suspect since we have about two hours of daylight left, it's not going to get warmer. We FINALLY got some snow. It's not much, only about six inches but much better than the one or two inches forecast. The clouds pushed out and today is blue bird and cccccooooolllllldddd.“Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.” - T. S. Eliot

Couple inches of snow, and the walk to work was kinda sloppy. Broke out my spikes for the first time this season.I'm not lost. I know where I am. I'm right here.

Snow is forecasted for this pm...need lots more. Temps are finally in the low 30's...need lower temps to ensure snow accumulates at higher elevations.

Rained 3 days straight, so been dodging it to try to get miles in. Looks like a break tomorrow as I try to 6 miles on the Arkansas River Trail on my way back home tomorrow. The road to glory cannot be followed with much baggage.
