You know spring is coming when the oaks drop their leaves. They tend to keep their leaves until the buds start to grow in the spring and knock them off.chief wrote:
i don't get it, it's in the 70s daily and the leaves are falling like it was october. wonder if my neighbors would be pissed if i had my oaks processed into firewood?

Congrats on kicking the smoking habit. I've never been a smoker, but I do need to loose weight. Probably 20 to 25 lbs. We all have our vices.

When we get one foot of snow my back is cooked for a week. I could not imagine having to shovel out that.

Kathy has banned me from using the mower as I've run over too many of her flower plants. If they have flowers I know not to mow them down but the rest of the year I can't tell them from the grass. It's my job to keep the mower running and Kathy's to push it around the yard.

Heavy snow all day, with wind. Everybody sing your favorite Easter carols:
"I'm dreaming of a white Easter..." -
My daughter said she had 6 inches of snow near the lake in Chicago on Sunday and her dog, a rescue from Texas, wanted NO part of it.
My sister lives in Mt. Prospect. Not sure how much snow fell there but my nephew made a HUGE snowman.
It's in the 60's here today.
I'm ready to plant flowers; just a bit concerned if we might experience a freeze yet. -
We were finally having baseball weather the past few weeks , but unfortunately looks we will be rained out tonight.
Shame because it was going to be Military appreciation day with University ROTC color guard, chorus (including son's girlfriend) was going to sing National Anthem, and honoring a few military individuals. The road to glory cannot be followed with much baggage.

We had six inches of snow last Sunday. Supposed to be in the 70s tomorrow.

...and it's snowing.

I will be sure to not sleep in tomorrow. The road to glory cannot be followed with much baggage.

OK, so while the -38 degrees we experienced in Minnesota last winter is kinda extreme, I'm ready for the return of a normal winter.
Work is just plain miserable in high heat and humidity.

Fall must be on the way. Did 5 miles today and actually felt a breeze and only in the 80s instead of 90s or triple digits.
