My University is closed for three days (Mon-Wed) due to the snow and cold. Got a foot of snow yesterday. Today, almost that much in lake effect, plus blowing and drifting with near zero visibility.

our snow non-event is over. 0.00 snowfall. sunny and in the high 30's all day. streets dry.
everybody that sucks on the taxpayer teats -- public schools, city schools, county bus system, city government, county government, state government -- felt the need to take the day off.
99.9% of everyone else remained open and worked -- and is still working -- a normal day.

It is so cold in GR that the Police Department has cancelled crime for the day.
Why didn't they think of this before?

We only had snow earlier in the week, because generally it doesn't snow once the temps go into the single digits and we were below 0* for most of the week. We got about 6-7 inches. Yesterday it got up to 42* and the neighbor kids went out early to make a snowman before all the snow melted.
They said they used a green bean for the mouth so that their mother didn't serve it for dinner as they dislike green beans. I told them I do too except for canned French style green beans in green bean casserole. -
Beautiful, sunny, and warm today. It’s 63*!Lost in the right direction.

Mallards have paired up and "discussing" who gets what spot in the cat tails behind the house, black wing black birds are piling into the cat tails, wood ducks moving in, daffy dills budding at Ruger and Ida Mae's resting place....spring is about to spring.I may grow old but I'll never grow up.

It’s gonna be 66* today, 70’s tomorrow and Thursday (cloudy, rainy, and cloudy again).
For me, it’s about the sunshine, not the temp. It’s been so gray and rainy all winter that 30* and sunny is 100x better than 70’s with rain.Lost in the right direction. -

I like a variety of weather (except bitter cold with ice, snow, etc.). I'm okay with cloudy and rainy, good thing because they tell me this area of Lower Alabama receives more rain than even Seattle (no reason to doubt that it's raining right now with scattered sunshine).

I'm not sure I've ever seen this before. After two ice storms in the last 48 hours, the trees outside my office window are all completely covered in a thick coat of ice. But this afternoon the temperature above freezing and now it suddenly got quite windy. As a result there are cascades of ice falling off the trees. Quite a sight.

I guess I'll check the forecast and see how much is expected
I don't even bother with the weather reports anymore, when I notice that the local grocery store's shelves are bare of bread and milk, I know that the forecasters have whipped the public into another snowpocalypse frenzy.“Of all sad words of tongue or pen,
the saddest are these, 'It might have been.”
