Be careful y’all, there seems to be a correlation between shoveling snow and heart attacks.

If New England keeps getting lots of cold weather and snow, does that mean that the blackflies, rodents, ect.. will not be as bad in NH and ME this summer?

I'm taking a break from shoveling snow and splitting and hauling fire wood.
I'm feeling like I might be getting too old for this fun
Sure glad Kathy's not the kind of women who shies away from hard, physical, labor as she's been a big help!
It's gonna be a 2 ibuprofen kinda night tonight.

we’re not allowed in NJ, grew up putting em on with my Pop, somewhere around the late 70’s I think they changed it.

I've learned to pace myself, did some last night, more throughout today. I have a big area to shovel, I'm too stubborn to buy a snowblower. Now my son helps me so that makes it easier. I'm 80% done with the driveway, I have 3 out of 4 cars on the road. The last car can wait until tomorrow. Cold winds are blowing out there.LIhikers wrote:

When my daughter moved to Vermont the first thing I did was buy her a new set of snow tires and had studs installed. Best money I ever spent.
Anyone who thinks that their All Season radials are as good as studded snow tires must have never driven the mountain roads of Vermont during the winter.
Ah, good old chains. I know that CT still allows them in limited circumstances. I've only ever put them on a fire engine, and those times I wasn't the one driving.Jake Ace wrote:
thanks Elf, didn’t know that! I’m brain dead...I was thinking if chains.SarcasmTheElf wrote:

75 and a little cloudy this morning in Singapore.
United screwed things up royally. First flight on Wednesday was delayed, earning me a 24-hour layover in Chicago. Arrived in Singapore at 01:00 Saturday morning to find my bag was missing. It's currently on it's way to Tokyo and should get here at 01:00 Sunday morning.
So I'm wearing the same clothes I put on at home last Wednesday morning. It's kind of like backpacking. Good thing I layered with wicking shirts and my zip-off hiking pants.
Oh... my room was warm and humid when I checked in. I'd appreciate some sympathy from my East Coast peeps...
