my primary stove forever has been a svea 123 .i also have a zip stove which i play around with on occasion. it has always been a simple matter to eyeball how much fuel (or kindling) is in my fuel bottle and if it needs to be topped off. and if i screw up i can always cook over a fire.
i want to be one of the cool kids so i bought a jet boil. so can anybody tell me how i can tell when i'm about out of fuel and need a new canister? it doesn't look like i would want to put that integrated jet boil pot over an open fire.
