Well having been the brunt of the dislike button - I like the fact I had "views" on the other thread to tell me the starter idea was a winner - now I have a red button - not to do that again... I am so cool with that... feedback rocks even if you don't post.Be wise enough to walk away from the nonsense around you!

Let me explain my "dislike" a bit more. For many of us, some posts are like talking about the ex-wife. She might not be a bad person. She might actually be a really good person with many redeeming characteristics. But some people don't like talking about the ex-wife for many reasons.
To shift gears a bit, I enjoy much of what you post. You are not a yes man or a rubber stamp. We walk a different path on some things. Hammock hanging is an example. I doubt I will ever own one, but I enjoy the discussion. That is just one example.
Keep up the thought provoking stuff and have pity on us guys that don't want to obsess about the ex-wife.Non hikers are about a psi shy of a legal ball. -
Ok, that's cool - not sure about the wife thing... we have recently celebrated our 30 year anniversary... She completes me,,,, the son..not so much... can I divorce him? - Oh don't PM me... I already get letters....Be wise enough to walk away from the nonsense around you!

I"m happily married for 24+ years, so I think I can say with confidence that a man is not complete until he's married. Then he's finished.I'm not lost. I know where I am. I'm right here. -

I've been absent or a bit, so maybe it's supposed to be this way now but I no longer have a like button. I can dislike but not like. Bunch of pessimists here, I tell ya. What if I want to like something, huh???
For real though, should I still have a like button/option/thing?“Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.” - T. S. Eliot -

Sometimes I'm missing buttons on my iPhone. I also can't see what I'm typing or the corrections that I make. It's a wonder I write anything coherent. Throw in a glass or two of wine...
ETA: the buttons return when I log out and log in again.Lost in the right direction. -
Coherent ? What is this coherent thing you speak of? I have been doing shots of fireball at a bbq. I think coherent left about 3 hrs ago."Dazed and Confused"

why do you care if a thread has been looked at 50 times, 500 times, 5,000 times, or whatever? what value is there in that?
it tells us how many times a thread has been looked at.

LOL! I love the way topics always get so scattered. For the record, I always log in on a PC and I still don't have a like button today. Apparently, I'm supposed to just be doom and gloom.“Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.” - T. S. Eliot

There isn't anything different with your settings that should make the like button disappear. I would clear your internet cache and history.Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.
