Let’s not neglect the ref’s usage of a twice folded notecard to determine sufficient yardage for 4th down.
For the most part I don't, except for Brady, Vontaze Buttface, and Ndamuramalamadingdong Suh. I'll replay video of their career-ending injuries if they happen.Jake Ace wrote:

Yeah but i don't think he's playing (or signed) anywhere is he? I haven't followed the NFL closely since what USED TO BE my Steelers signed the scumbag and I turned my back on them. Not as much fun watching when you don't have a dog in the hunt.Jake Ace wrote:

i hate football overtime. both college and nfl. talking about college...
setting the ball at the 25 yard line and repeating ad nauseam reminds me a hockey shootout and has nothing to do how the game is played.
basketball and baseball have figured out to do overtime properly. why can't football?

#me2 (sorry bad joke which are no longer allowed) but what I hate more is the NFL rule of every single catch requires a number of lawyers to run out on the field to make sure the receiver holds on to the ball for an hour and a half after his right finger touches the ball.max.patch wrote:

What's wrong with the NFL OT rules? Much better since they eliminated the option of kicking a FG to win on the 1st possession. I suppose it might be improved by allowing both teams to have the same number of possessions for the whole period, not just after the first possession. We could call it "imminent death" rather than "sudden death". I agree the college OT rules are silly.max.patch wrote:

in town for a seminar, went the weekend before and spent a day touring historical sites (history major for awhile in college), had a cheesesteak, rented a car and drove to port clinton where i knew the AT went thru town and did my first "hike" on the AT probably 3 miles roundtrip. saw 2 guys camping. knew that someday i'd hike the whole thing. went to a phillies game one evening. nice 5 day trip.
but i sure wouldn't want to live there.
