I always have a pair of socks on the needles but don’t wear them for hiking. They don’t tolerate that much wear and tear.

I don’t begrudge the homeless getting new socks.

wow -- isn't the rei card only 1% back on non-rei purchases? with that volume of charges you should upgrade. clark howard recommends the citi bank double cash back card -- 1% when you charge it and another 1% when you make your payment -- 2% cash back in total.

fidelity also has a 2% card, but the rebate goes into your fidelity investment account.

Not that investing in your future is a bad thing.

I've been wanting some of those. Do you need the RiR pen to go with it?

They work with any pen, but the RIR pen, like an 'astronaut pen,' is pressurized and will work at any angle. I use them for writing when I am in my hammock, which tends to be upside down. If you don't want the expense of an astronaut pen, the RIR paper also works with pencil.

The RIR notebook is OK. Sort of waxy paper. The little RIR pen will slide into the spiral part, but often gets jostled out...leaving the cap stuck.

I got nothing...left them when they became political...but if I was fortunate enough to have $14 I'd invest in a good six pack of beer or a good cigar.

I got $29 and have been lusting over the Teton fleece pants for camp pants. They’re so warm but won’t pay full price because I’ve seen them on sale in the past and figure they’ll go on sale this spring.

Also need a pair of stretch pants for spin class. I noticed mine have a hole in the ass. I always ride a bike in the front row so figure everyone’s been getting a good laugh during spin class.

But you need to get that titanium cheesecake pan...

I am sure it does not come close to matching up to Overload's, but a whole lot lighter.

I think there is a way, after a period of time, to request they just mail you the funds. Used to be a way to do that. Buy a few happy meals....
