we're visiting our son, and his wife, in Ohio.
We set up our Tarptent Rainshadow II in their back yard and have been sleeping there. Last night started off with some thunderstorms that came and went with no real problems. Then in the middle of the night a storm hit like none we've ever experienced in a tent. Not only did it rain buckets, had lightening flashing every few seconds, but the wind was so strong it tore the tent in several places and then flattened the tent. We made a mad dash for the house and spent the rest of the night in the house. Once we got up we found out there had been a tornado warning and winds over 40 miles an hour. Kathy and Paul's excellent adventure. Guess we'll be doing some tent shopping.
