My daughter loves to hike. The boy, not so much. He had a really bad hike once with me where he was complaining the entire time and moaning that he didn't feel well. I just thought he was complaining because he would have rather been playing xbox and kept telling him to suck it up. Turns out he was sick and the rest of the week in bed home sick with a fever
Bad dad. Since then he tells me all the time about how much he hates hiking. HahahRIAP -

Are you posting from your sleeping bag again? Clearly you're doing things wrong!Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them.

That's got to be West Mountain Shelter in NY, just off the AT, and that's New York City on the horizon.
If you were there when you posted that photo you must have been there Monday night.
When we were in the park on Saturday we talked with a number of people who were planning to spend the better part of this week in the park. The post was edited 1 time, last by LIhikers ().

Who has any hiking plans this weekend?
I will be heading up to the Adirondacks early Friday morning and staying at the Adirondack Loj for 2 nights. Intention is bag 3 peaks, but if I only do 1 I'll be happy!
Lost in the right direction. -

Color me envious. My foot is still not right. Surely not up to the scrambles of Breakneck or Popolopen. Maybe by spring....I'm not lost. I know where I am. I'm right here.
