I've been promoting my video entry to become the Chief Hiking Officer of Devils Backbone Brewing Company. My intentions are to promote the positivity of our AT community and healing power of nature. Some fellow hikers believe this contest to be marketing grab and could create a "party" culture along the AT. I understand these apprehensions. The Chief Hiking Officer has an ultimate responsibly of painting the right picture in front of a captive audience. I remain confident the right person will utilize this platform to advocate the remarkable experiences one could gain from thru hiking and not focus on just the drinking.
