Originally was planning to hike a few days on the Ozark Highland Trail. But with all the rain and flooding decided to head to the highest point in Arkansas. I had done the Cove Lake-Mt Magazine trail with the Boy Scouts before. It is 9.5 miles, so I considered doing it again (down and back up). Would have been good elevation practice, but with all the rain thought I might be hiking in through a lot of mud and water and not have a good place to set up my tent. Also I did not remember that good of views. So instead I decided to hike all the trails through the state park. Hiked at least 10 miles both Saturday and Sunday and saw some great views. Hopefully my pictures will give you a glimpse of how nice it was.
The road to glory cannot be followed with much baggage.
