This past summer, on our way home from Maine we stopped in NH. One of the things we did was to spend a day in North Conway. After walking around town we went for a ride on the scenic railroad. Then we spent some time in our favorite store there, International Mountain Equipment. They have a consignment shop in the basement where they sell all sorts of used outdoor gear and clothing. We've gotten all sorts of things at good prices over the years. This year my wife Kathy came home with a true winter sleeping bag. She found a Feathered Friends Peregrine in good condition that she liked. It's a down bag with a rating of -25. All of that plus it was a bit more than $350 dollars cheaper than a new one. Now that we both have quality sleeping bags rated at -25 bring on winter !

Don't see ever buying a non Western Mountaineering bag in the future. Currently have HiLite (35) for 7 years now, and UltraLite (20) for 3 years for Colorado summer and AR winter.
Not for sure I really want to be out when I need a 0 or 10 degree bag.The road to glory cannot be followed with much baggage.
