Simply one of the best, who kept on top of his game for 40 years. Was influenced by Elvis at a young age when he was filming the Homesteaders in Florida. I believe Don Felder gave him guitar lessons back in Florida early on. I Loved all of his music and laid back personality.
Wow, nearly all of the Traveling Wilburries are gone now.The road to glory cannot be followed with much baggage.

Did you see the Simpsons episode where Homer goes to Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp? Tom Petty was one of the stars running the camp. At the end they had a benefit concert which went horribly wrong thanks to Homer, so the next night they had a benefit concert to benefit the victims of the previous night's benefit concert. One of my favorite episodes.

Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.

Very sad. I once climbed up on the stage at a Tom petty concert. They let me sit there until I reached for him, then got dragged off by security.Lost in the right direction.

Now some are reporting Tom died of a fentynal over dose...so sad. Here’s another great performer gone this week...I liked Delores, and
“the Cranberries” she leaves behind three kids. Drugs are so overated

The jazz musical scene lost Hugh Masekela yesterday. Known for his trumpet playing, song writing, singing, as well as political activism he succumbed to cancer.
