Wierd, I know about the original owner's new company "My Trail Co." but I thought the Golite brand was dead.Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them.

My guess is that My Trail is a temporary company until Golite fully get's out of Bankruptcy. The Golite brand is so much better then My Trail.Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.

this is somewhat confusing; i'm sure google can tell ya the whole story if interested. i think my memory is correct...
golite was liquidated in bankruptcy. it's gone, kaput, finished.
here's the weird part -- when golite was a viable company they sold the name "golite" to timberland and then bought a license from timberland to use the name golite. so coup has absolutely no right to use the name golite (except as follows below).
coup purchased the "patterns" (don't know the technical term) to the old golite gear. so he can make the old stuff; just can't call it golite.
rasty found a golite website that is getting ready to go active. this tells me (speculating) that timberland is either going to start a line of products under the golite name -- or they sold the name to another company that is going to sell "golite" gear.
of course -- if another company bought the name -- that other company could just as well be my trail as anyone else.2,000 miler -

A WHOIS lookup of GOLITE is interesting:
whois.icann.org/en/lookup?name=golite.com
Name: Domain R Administrator
Organization: TBL Licensing LLC
Mailing Address: 200 Domain Drive,, Stratham New Hampshire 03885 US
Phone: +1.6037729500
Ext:
Fax: +1.6037772951
Fax Ext:
Email:vfc_domain_admins@vfc.com
And TBL Licensing? Why that is Timberland:
timberland.com/customer-service/legal/trademarks.html
VFC is their parent company.
So, the person above who speculated Timberland is reviving the name gets a cigar. More than likely. -
