Well once in a while there is nothing wrong taking a frozen Hash brown for the second day out on the trail in the morning... scrambled egg in a mini pan and the Hash brown warmed up. I am a huge fan of Idahoan mash potato's as you boil water and add mix and each packet has 4 servings of 110 calories at a little more than 4 oz.
This new packet contains 3 oz 140 calories for 4 servings and requires boiling then frying in a touch of oil. But might fend off boredom in the morning with an egg and bacon bits. Yea $1!!!! It is not freeze dried, it is something reproducible on a food drier with the right flavored oils, and hints of onion powder, but the process of making it would smack of effort. I am making a batch tomorrow. I will let ya know.

Be wise enough to walk away from the nonsense around you!
