    • Mountain Hardwear Lamina Z Torch

I bought a Mountain Hard wear Lamina Z Torch sleeping bag at REI. It is dangerously warm for current conditions if I zip it up, but zipped halfway it is OK. Dew beads up on top, letting me shake the drops off in the morning, but some soaks through, although not far enough for me to feel wet inside.

The lower limit is 5 degrees F EN. It should help me stay out longer into the winter. It weighs about 4 pounds. A down bag could be lighter, but cost more. This bag seemed like a good compromise.

The compression sack lets me fit it into the bottom of my REI pack. It takes considerable effort to push all of the bag into the compression sack. I find the best way is to fold the head and foot together, then fold once more for a total of four layers, and then roll tightly sideways.
I am human and I need to be loved - just like everybody else does
