I drink diet coka cola, the gold label. No sugar and no caffeine. So its basically caramel colored water with bubbles. I still drink lots of it. Up until last November, I had one drink of vodka or rum on Friday night while watching tv. One of my relatives said that made me an alcoholic. I pointed out she was mistaken and she should know better as she works in rehab. I kind of miss it, but not much.--

No 'hard' soda pop for me. I prefer real Vodka and Rum !
Food: soup, cans of corned beef hash, eggs and bacon for Saturday breakfast, pancakes, C-rations a couple of times, sandwiches made with smashed bread ( just a loaf in our packs) and some sliced meat ( probably from that small glass jar of dried beef you can still get in stores) and cheese. I'm sure there were other food items, but I don't remember what.
For a Scout summer camping trip, we hiked around the lake and had dehydrated food for supper and beakfast. Supper went fine, but we used up too much of the charcoal at supper ( fire risk we were told, but the early morning fog was very damp), that breakfast didn't cook completely. The guy who fixed breakfast decided that if the amount of water mentioned on the package would make a certain amount of syrup, then double that wil lmake double the syrup. So we had brown water on our sort of cooked pancakes. And washed it down with lemonade that had lumps of undisolved powder in it. This was about 1962.--

Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them. -

Shopping for groceries earleir today and I spotted on store shelves what else we had eaten.
Deviled ham, potted meat, and those little weiners that look like one-sixth size hot dogs. We typically cooked hot dogs and marshmallows over the evening campfire. All this makes great sandwiches... the first time someone wrapped biscuit dough around hot dogs cut in thirds, I wondered why they were wasting food. They did taste okay, but I can no longer eat most of this stuff. The result is kinda like green apple quick step.--
