who am i supposed to root for if osuna faces braun in the world series?
is it somehow possible for both of them to fail?
maybe a line drive that ricochets's off osuna's leg to the first baseman for the out -- and osuna has to leave the game.
i think i'll just go the the bathroom.2,000 miler -

knee jerk reaction from sirius/xm regarding the altuve is it or isn't it home run.
all baseball fields should have the same dimensions -- an important topic that isn't talked about enough the host went on to say; and...
outfield walls should all be 20 feet high like the green monster so that it's impossible for fans to interfere (that was a from a caller not a host).2,000 milerThe post was edited 1 time, last by max.patch ().

no baseball last night -- the hawks were playing the knicks in the all important game 1 of 82! -- but that won't stop me from commenting.
as a numbers guy -- and kinda sorta rays fan -- i understand the concept of starting a relief pitcher and having them pitch the first inning. but the brewers strategy of having a pitcher start the game and face one batter kinda falls in the category of the manager sayin "look how smart i am" for thinking this up. reminds of pete carroll throwing the ball instead of running in the super bowl a few years back. baseball does not need new strategies that serve only to lengthen the game.
for the second time this week i'm gonna say i don't believe in karma -- but a day or two after the astros get caught cheating they may have gotten cheated out of a home run because of the actions of one of their fans. hmmm...
i haven't seen the zapruder film of the altuve home run yet so i'm not going to comment on the call - but if a team got screwed becasue of the actions of an astros fan -- then i guess i'm glad it was the astros (since it was their fan) and not the red sox.
edit to add: machado is an ass.2,000 milerThe post was edited 2 times, last by max.patch ().

right now ya gotta choice on tv of baseball (astos-red sox), basketball (bulls-76ers plus any games in local markets) or football (broncos-cardinals).
i'm startin off with baseball -- got the david price backstory and i wanna see what kate is wearing.
edit to add: and if ya subscribe to espn plus there's hockey (penguins-maple leafs).2,000 milerThe post was edited 1 time, last by max.patch ().

The Sox's bats never let up, and the Astros had a few bad breaks. I look forward to doing this again next year when hopefully Altuve will be at 100%. On to the World Series !“Of all sad words of tongue or pen,

And to channel Kevin McHale the first time they lost to Detroit, "Beat LA".The road to glory cannot be followed with much baggage.

can't say I care which AL team gets to the world series. however, it will be nice to hear a lot less of the astros and their pet monkey.

the greatest athlete of all time is buddy aka air bud. he starred in basketball, football, soccer, baseball (world series mvp) and volleyball.
here he is named the world series mvp:
and where it all started -- basketball -- his greatest sport imo.

Brewers making it interesting, win without even using Josh Hader. He was a starter before Astros traded him to Brewers, and has few days rest. So I would not be surprised if goes 3 innings tomorrow if needed. The road to glory cannot be followed with much baggage.

it's amazing the things you learn in the cafe.2,000 miler -
the good: sox are 15-5 against lefty starters this year at home.
the bad: machado has 5 home runs in 41 at bats against price.
i'm going to the hawks home opener tonite against the mavs so no baseball for me. i thot the hawks should have drafted luka doncic in the first round (well...technically they did) but they went with trae young instead. looking forward to the matchup between these two. i'm sure i'll glance at my phone every once in a while to see how bad the sox are beating the dodgers.2,000 miler -
same words -- different meaning.
last week i posited that david price would "revert back to the mean" and would have a quality pitching start in the playoffs against the astros.
today on sirius/xm one of the hosts predicted that david price would "revert back to the mean" tonight. only in his definition the mean is his sucky historical postseason record and he is predicting another lousy performance.2,000 miler -

Happy for IMScotty and the Red Sox fans, but shame on the front office for not having Curt Schilling with 2004 World Series heroes to throw the first pitch. Bloody red sock and clutch performances should out weigh any political opinions of front office personnel. It should be for the fans, and he played a key role as anyone in ending the curse of the Bambino.

i was only in the car for about 10 minutes today, but whoever i was listening to on sirius/xm was ripping the red sox a new one for that decision the entire time.
i'm guessing the bloody red sock might be one of the only memories the casual fan has of that series.2,000 miler -

But then again JD Martinez hurt his ankle in the game and might not be available for anything but Pinch Hitting in LA. Could make what was looking like a potential sweep interesting again. The road to glory cannot be followed with much baggage.
