Besides MLK weekend in Harriman in a few weeks, I intend on a few weekend trips in the Adirondacks and possibly finishing off the 46 High Peaks. Im at 21 now. Throw in a few trips to the Catskills. I also have too many home/family/work responsibilities that really prevent me from taking a full week off to hike, but Im going to try my hardest to try an finagle an extra week this year and possibly hike the Northville-Placid Trail, the 100 Mile Wilderness or maybe the Presidential TraverseRIAP

Mostly trail angel stuff.
Hopefully most of it paid for by residents at our B&B but Army Ant and his partner are coming to hike the Bib end August early September so will be looking after him. Doubt that I will have time to do any long hikes but will do a fair few 2 to 5 day hikes, particularly on the southern third of the Bib and many day hikes.
I will complete building trail in my 5 acres of forest until I have at least a kilometre.
2017 I hope to do a spring Camino with Annie to capture some of the pleasure of our 2014 autumn one but with a variation in scenery.
If everything falls in place 2017 or 2018 may see us doing at least part of the AT.Resident Australian, proving being a grumpy old man is not just an American trait. -
Too soon to tell. This old body is going to pieces at the moment. I'd really like to finish up my last half-dozen Catskill high peaks, and maybe do some of the 46.I'm not lost. I know where I am. I'm right here.

July to early August CT-MA-VT-NH on the AT.
Plan to finish up the Ouachita Trail with two out and back weekends this winter/spring (11 and 16 mile sections left out of 223 miles).
Spring and early summer when I have a chance I will probably start on the Ozark Highland Trail along with a few other trails around AR (Eagle Rock Loop, Sylamore Creek, Buffalo River Trail). The road to glory cannot be followed with much baggage.

Plug the 2 sections in NJ & MASS, to make DWG to Franconia complete. I want to see the Rhodies bloom on Roan. Maine would be nice in August. And where/when to hook up with Astro
Current plan has me starting southern CT on Friday July 1, but I will let you know for sure as it gets closer.
I just regret that it is too far for me on the MLK IV ( never mind the weather variable). The road to glory cannot be followed with much baggage.

I have done all of Georgia several times but never in one shot. Too many responsibilities keeping me at home/work. I normally can only manage 2 or 3 nights away. I hope to finagle a whole week off and go solo.

I had torn meniscus surgery 7 weeks ago and the knee seems to be recouping okay, what I do next will depend on how well it heals. If I can get back to complete good healthy knees I'd like to go back to the Colorado Trail and finish it, but I'll never go on trail again with the knees hurting to start with. If I don't feel the knees are up to the CT I I'll either go to ME and hike south to Harper's Ferry to complete the AT or do the BMT, got a buddy wanting me to do a thru the spring after this one but that depends on him getting into shape, and he likes to eat too much.I may grow old but I'll never grow up.

Since I started this thread I guess I'll post our "plans" if you can call them that.
First there'll be the MLK weekend in January.
In April Kathy and I will have a week plus. Right now we're considering the Laurel Highlands Trail in western Pennsylvania, The Mohawk Trail in Connecticut, or maybe going to Harper's Ferry and spending a few days hiking and a few days playing tourist in Washington DC.
Our summer plans are very fluid right now. We're considering several possibilities, some of which include hiking. -

I plan to mosey thru most of VA for 2016, stating somewhere around Memorial Day. I want to play on the Dragons Tooth when it is NOT raining. I will be watching for a favorable 10 day forecast to pick my actual start date.

Starting next week, rehiking the AT approach trail and a section or two of the BMT from Springer.
In April, I've got a month to hike somewhere, probably wherever my boyfriend is on his sectional trek through the AT...I may even redo Pennsylvania. Yeah, crazy to consider that, huh? Of all places, the shoe and foot destroyer.
In June, depending on $$, I may hike part of the PCT or work at a hostel in Gorham with the boy. Time will tell.www.appalachiantrailclarity.com - Life on the A.T.

bacon can solve most any problem. -
Kathy and I have done 2 winter, dog sled, camping trips in northern Minnesota.
We didn't ride in the sled, but standing on the back mushing.
Of course a lot of the time we were running alongside, or behind, to lighten the load for the dogs or to help them by pushing the sled while they pulled.
We've often thought we should go back and do some canoeing there. Maybe some day. -

I'm going for day hike tomorrow with a full pack just to keep in practice and get outside. Probably in the SNP or maybe around Humpback. I need to try out my re-made homemade pack and see how it carries."Dazed and Confused"

Heading out to the Ouachita Trail tomorrow to knock out the 10 mile section (have to do it twice, out and back). Down in the 20s tomorrow night, so I packed the 20* bag this time. The road to glory cannot be followed with much baggage.

wife doesn't like it when I go our without her, but she isn't able to backpack. So a solution may be to drive to Front Royal (about 650 miles from home). I hike Sobo and she spends a few days hanging out in SNP staying at big meadows where I meet her 3 days later. I think that's about 45 miles.
