I believe she would be the first female to do it. I know Flying Brian was first to do it & I believe someone else did it also.

Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.

Kathy and I met Flyin Brian, and his then girlfriend, years ago on the AT. -
People who have done the 3C in a year:
Brian Robinson
Squeaky (forget his real name)
Justin Lichter (aka trauma)..he actually did the "ECT" : Florida Trail, the IAT *AND* the AT. Wowsers...
Cam Honan
There are four or five people in the coming season or two who aim to do the 3C in a year.
The difference from the first four above? These people planning to do the 3C in a year already did the 3C. For me, there is so much to see out there rather than simply becoming "the first" to do something. I've said it before, something like Kirsten Gates's solo traverse across the Brooks Range is far more impressive, and interesting, than yet another FKT (ho hum) or now a 3C in a year attempt (triple ho-hum). Yet the FKT/3C is what will get the press. A well marked series of trails..or a true wilderness adventure in Alaska?
So it goes...The post was edited 1 time, last by PaulMags ().

I would like to think most are not doing it for the press, but more for the adventure and personal challenge.
