We just discovered water at the campsite Rasty and HB stayed at last night. We were coming out from a hard day of brush cutting and trail clearing and these two skinny, stinky hikers were walking up the reroute. The first (as far as I know) BMT hikers to use the new route.
That campsite has it all, it would be even better if we could clear some of those trees from the view.
I hope y'all make it to Fontana OK, and the weather next week doesn't mess you up too much.

Unfortunately, HB and Rasty are going to have some bad weather the next 3 days. Thunderstorms are predicted.

Hopefully nothing like the deadly tornadoes we had in OK & AR last night.

Heavy rain in the forecast. We get laundry, showers and keep cool all at the same time.
Always look at the bright side of life!

I've been following along in my guide book. For those interested, Crowder Ridge is around mile 174, Slick Rock Creek is 181, and Deals Gap is 189.8, where they're working on the bypass. If you've never driven on the Tail of the Dragon, it's quite an experience.
