What did you like about it so much to want to do it again? Aside from just being out in the woods and hiking.

Really? With so many trails to hike you're going to do a repeat? -

my plans are constantly in flux. i have my eye on the idaho centennial trail, the jmt, or the long trail, but those would be summer starts and the bmt i can knock out in 3 weeks.
it was that good.its all good -

I see that one which is more to your thread on your hike, but I was thinking you could also have one on your name like Joanna Swanson that to the Cafe homepage or your hikerboy cafe thread. I am for all the free publicity you can get, especially with like minded people (your target audience). The road to glory cannot be followed with much baggage.

i'm no uler but ive been debating that very thing.i have atc, amc, and bmt stickers on my car.im not sure where i could put the patch on my pack. you have to buy the patch and there are 3 different rockers that can accompany it. one is a 300 miler rocker given to section hikers who complete the trail, a second is thru hiker for one who does it in one shot, and a 500 miler rocker for those who've hiked the bmt/at loop.i may just get them to have as a souvineer. i dont really need to carry the recognition around with me. its just nice to have my name on a limited roster.its all good -

That uphill road walk was not that much fun.Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.

although she had just pulled out of her driveway, she apparently had absolutely no knowledge of any roads in the area. she just drove away(apparently to who knows where) leaving us scratching our heads, dumbfounded.its all good -

well thank you but no, the bmt is 286 miles and i did it in 26 days, taking 4 zeroes.i continued on the appalachian trail to ft bastian, skipping hot springs to erwin, for a total of 585 miles in 41 days.
it was then that i got caught in the vortex for the following 3 weeks.
it was all good.its all good -

You are right - but a polar vortex may creep up when they are not looking over their shoulder... much like a bad neighborhood. One should be Vortex weary.
