Yeah its pretty easy to find on line, but there was something magical about finding your dad's Playboy hidden away in the back of the closet.

Let' see how this can be spun... Playboy is about to lose their last 800,000 computer phobic subscribers; or we are about to find out who really reads the articles... :thumbsup:

My best friend and I got kicked out of the cub scouts (weblos) when we were caught looking at Playboys at a meeting. Funny thing is they belonged to the den mother's husband and their sons brought them out to show to us (and of course they didn't get kicked out). We moved on to looking at Penthouse and hey we turned out OK. At least I think I am normal.

whats funny is i got a postcard from playboy about a month ago with a subscription offer for a really cheap price. don't remember exactly but it was like $10 for a year. the picture of the blond on the outside of the postcard was probably just this side of being illegal to mail. anybody who subscribed based on getting that postcard is gonna be pisssed...

not any more. i read the article last nite and it said they had removed the nudes from the website a year ago. i immediately went to research the situation

and there are no nudes to be found. i even stuck around to read a couple articles so maybe this redesign makes sense...

edit to add: you aroused my curiosity so i paid mr. google a visit. while playboy has been sanitized, they still offer a paid site playboy plus. thats where all the purty girls are hanging out these days.

Agreed on the end of an era, however hopefully not the end of PB.

One of the prof in grad school would privately tell us (during the beer -pizza sessions after class) that in her opinion PB had the best fiction writing available. She'd rattle off examples from the current issues as well as from years ago.
She also claimed she was sanctioned by the university for using PB literature for in class analysis of writing styles.

After the first deployment, I drove across the U.S. as a means of decompression. At the first rest stop in Texas, I was walking back to the truck when I came across a cowgirl slinging hay bails from the bed of a pickup to the ground. As she weighed about buck ten, I was impressed as the bales were 100 lb westerns. I assisted her in carrying the bales to the horse trailer she was towing where we fed 5 horses. Afterwards we had lunch at the next truck stop and talked for a couple of hours. We kept in touch for months, but she decided to get back with her ex and I deployed again. Often wonder how she fared.
