What keeps you occupied when you're stuck in a tent for 12-14 hrs?

I also tend to hike in the dark. I prefer to start early and hike for a few hours before sunrise. I only get one winter trip each year so spending too much time in my tent is something I'm trying to avoid.

i've tried sudoko but its not conducive for falling asleep; just the opposite, actually.
Crossword puzzle book and/ or Sudoko...and of course a paperback. Several years ago I was a dedicated winter camper/hiker. I always had a partner but once she passed away, I've slowed on the winter camping primarily for safety issues.TrafficJam wrote:
