this just came across one of my spotify created playlists. ("discover weekly" -- 30 songs they send each week that their computer thinks you'll like.) i think i posted it a couple years ago, but it's worth another listen.
can you name them all?
the biggest omission has to be garth -- he's sold more albums than anyone except the beatles (his wife is there).
and of course taylor got her start in country.2,000 milerThe post was edited 3 times, last by max.patch ().

Thank you for that Max, that was a new one for me, very nice. I really liked seeing the 'real angels' in the video.
Different genre, but the video reminded me of Billy Joel's 'Good Night Saigon' video where he invited the Vietnam Vets on stage with him. It really amplified the power of the lyrics.

the saddest are these, 'It might have been.”

When I lived in Rhode Island in 1987 I believe it was still legal for me to enjoy a cold one on the drive home from work. Today the passengers in RI can still have a drink on the road, but not the driver. I believe Mississippi its the only state left where the driver can still legally drink and drive.“Of all sad words of tongue or pen,

we saw Ricky Scaggs a few years ago at the Meijer Gardens outdoor concert series. I think that was the one where it was 45 deg and raining in August. Welcome to Michigan.

When did almost everyone I know get old (or gone)?
I find this trend very disturbing.
Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them. -

Like fine wine, the 15 year old video ages well.
If you watch TV and listen to music you'll recognize a few people.
Makes me want to go find the VHS tape of the videos we were watching 40 years ago in college. The road to glory cannot be followed with much baggage.

Any of you listen to Zach Brian? I just discovered him last week but apparently he exploded onto the Alt-Country scene last year and he's unbelievable.
I think this is his original recording that went viral. It was recorded in a Navy barracks a couple years ago. Now he's honorably discharged and playing stadiums.

RIP Toby Keith.
He supposedly wrote this in 20 minutes after the 911 attack.
There's a version that I haven't seen in years that had the Statue of Liberty shaking her fist at the appropriate place in the lyrics.
We'll put a boot in your ass it's the American way...
