I like Wired's blog posts... walkingwithwired.com/p/home-page.html
It started as an online journal for her PCT hike, she carried it over to the CDT, then the AT. Now she blogs about other hikes. She gives great gear reviews! You can really see how her love for the trail has evolved from being tentative, to being excited about each new adventure. There's no reason to become alarmed, and we hope you'll enjoy the rest of your flight. By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane? -
I will look that up.Lost in the right direction.

Wired is currently headed back to the CDT to fill-in some miles that were missed due to a reroute when she was on the CDT. Then she is off to do the GDT...There's no reason to become alarmed, and we hope you'll enjoy the rest of your flight. By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane?

I also liked Clever Girl's (Kit McCann) blog. She hiked the AT in 2013 and then kept blogging until recently. While not so educational for gear advice, it was hilarious! trailkit.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.htmlThere's no reason to become alarmed, and we hope you'll enjoy the rest of your flight. How do people know when a blog is updated? Do you follow a blog like you follow someone on Twitter?Lost in the right direction.

I get emails from Wired's blog, but not any others. maybe it's in the settings? Maybe you need to reply to a post in the blog and then you get updates? I don't know for sure.If your Doctor is a tree, you're on acid.

I just went back to ramblinghemlock's blog and looked around and saw where on the left sidebar you can "follow by email". Input your email address here and you will get notifications of blog activity. I would only assume it's the same for all.If your Doctor is a tree, you're on acid.

The 2007 AT hiker "Bag Lady" currently hiking the Bibbulmun Track here in Western Australia.
Amazing lady with many adventures.
I am her Facebook friend and she posts regularly there too.

An adult, novelty-store advertisement starring a female backpacker (supposedly) in the middle of an issue highlighting female backpacking.
They interviewed some of the most badass female hikers in the country and asked them about their beauty routine.
They wrote an article on how guys can make their girls' first backpacking trip enjoyable and the tone of the article was that females are pampered idiots.
I don't know what Backpacker's vision was for the issue. Personally, I like to approach female-specific topics with humor so some of the things that offended others didn't bother me. IMO, you can cry about having to deal with stuff on the trail, or you can laugh about it and i prefer to laugh. But, the magazine went too far and did an abysmal job by making us look like idiots.

Thanks, TJ. Having a lot of fun with it! I'm currently working on an article of unique places you don't want to miss on the A.T. It's a fun project!www.appalachiantrailclarity.com - Life on the A.T.

Not a blog but a nice article on Heather Anderson. Elle did a great job. They are a fashion magazine and showed Backpacker the right way to feature female hikers.

I've enjoyed reading about 14 different trails so far from Wired. I'm reading the Bib now.
