Cone coffee filter. If I can't have real coffee I'm not going.I'm not lost. I know where I am. I'm right here.

hands down my wind shirt. I used it everyday on my lash. I would wear it first thing in the morning over my tshirt until I was warm and again at end of the day at camp until the sweat in my tshirt dried and I was ready to get under my tarp."Dazed and Confused"

My favorite is weird. It's an Outdoor Research kitchen organization pouch. The pouch has everything small that I carry except my headlamp and Aqua Mira which are in the hip belt pocket of my pack. The pouch weighs about 2 ounces empty. This helps me keep organized.Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.

Perhaps my JetBoil Flash. After hiking all day I am hungry and I want to eat fast and without a lot of hassle. Pour that hot water in the Mountain House and 9 minutes later I have a meal I love with nothing really to clean up.The road to glory cannot be followed with much baggage.

My favorite piece of gear doesn't get to go on every trip. It all depends on the weather. My favorite piece is Zpacks hexamid tarp. It comes in at 3.5 ozs. My other favorite is my MB down jacket. It goes on all trips but the middle of summer.

its not gear, but the best thing i lug into the woods is my kindle. don't need to carry multiple books, easy to add books and periodicals (wth a few exceptions, trail towns are not noted for their bookstores), and sooo much easier to read that backlit screen rather than trying to maintain the correct angle with a headlamp.2,000 miler

My Snow Peak coffee press is a close second. If your Doctor is a tree, you're on acid. -
When I was potty training my youngest, I gave her maps to look at. It was the only thing that kept her interested and sitting still.Lost in the right direction.

I just finished 36 mi on the BMT and my bandana was the most valuable piece of equipment.
It was really hot and I used it to wipe off at every stream crossing and wore it around my neck. When it started smelling funky, I boiled water and soaked it/dunked it repeatedly to clean it.Lost in the right direction. -
I'm having trouble picking a favorite piece at the moment but I believe it is soon to be my hammock, it's going to be great getting a night sleep and not having a back ache, unfortunately, since the weather is too hot to use it now, I'll have to learn on the trail first time out.I may grow old but I'll never grow up.

these multi quotes are hard to follow. even moreso if a quote has been revised and you never saw the original.
at first i thot grinder said he was gay. then i realized that socks said he was gay. now it appears that it was all a joke and nobodys gay.
so who's hanging out at dots?2,000 miler -

Every time I see a picture of him, his tail is strategically placed.
I'm thinking about knitting this little guy to take hiking...in non-christmassy colors.
