i started wearing a dual cho-pat brace that milkman recommended and it has made a tremendous difference in the amount of knee pain that i have in my right knee when hiking.

I also ran a mile because I was mad at myself for waking up hungover.Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them. -

walked about a mile around a construction site. Worked out on the bowflex when I got home and then walked the dog. Now I am rewarding myself with a beer."Dazed and Confused"

I agreed to do the "pedometer challenge" at work. We were given pedometers to wear all day for a month and record our steps/mileage. I only agreed to do it when one of my young officers challenged me. So far I've racked up 3 miles just by shaking the damn thing while I sit at my desk and watch YouTube videos about hiking.....I'm so going to kick his azz!RIAP

My wife is a teacher and on her feet all day. With a little sweet talking maybe I can get her to wear it while she works then hand it off to me when she gets home.

Probably not the wisest decision I've made but I went on the Colorado Trail Monday with a bad knee, I hadn't been able to exercise with the leg at all for two months and then two weeks before the hike I started some treadmill walking, but at my age you realize you only have so much time left to cram in the things you want to do. I lasted only 6 days, 71 miles, knee became swollen, had trouble getting pants, shoes, etc on....not to mention the logistics of taking a dump. Had a great time though, only regret is not getting a photo of the three cowgirls at a trail head I came out to for re-supply, all would make great models, two were early thirties, the third was the cutest little girl I've ever seen, about 5. They had three beautiful quarter horses and had been up in the mountains camping, had a pack horse with lots of gear. The little girl had chaps on...just a doll. A crusty old guy drove up in truck pulling a horse trailer to pick them up, I asked the little girl if she knew that guy..."yeah, that's my granpa"...clasic western folks. That little girl may end up on Wall Street, but she'll never forget those days up in the mountains with what I'm assuming was her mother and sister or friend.I may grow old but I'll never grow up.
