When does he need to finish to break the record?
As of now he is 209.7 miles out with 116.5 hrs to go. That's only 1.8 mph. I could do that -

I can't comprefend putting my body through something like he's doing, or has done... But I sure am enjoying following him at wb. Not much chatter from the troll lately. He sure filled a lot of pages....
Is he saving up for one last hard push?
Is he physically spent and will just squeeze by with the record?
Does he fall short by 45+ mins?
Who's the bookie?
Where do I place a bet?
With my blah blah insurance I have a dollar... -

Much as I am a fan of JPD, I really do not think a record is worth dying for. There is a reason why they have the ferry system in place. There's no reason to become alarmed, and we hope you'll enjoy the rest of your flight. By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane? -
this is a serious post.
actually, dr. doyle holds the fastest known time to summit both springer and katahdin.
he and a friend summitted springer, jumped in their car and drove nonstop to baxter where they summitted katahdin. 30 something hours if i remember correctly. been a while since i read it.
he talks about it somewhere on the internet.2,000 miler -

well today should be an epic day, hes gonna have to pull a 50+ for sure, something he hasnt done in a while.
its gonna go down right to the wire
I have no doubt it will go down to the wire, but I do think he will pull it off. There's no reason to become alarmed, and we hope you'll enjoy the rest of your flight. By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane? -
