I bought a pair a couple of weeks ago, I got the low cut. I really like these things. They're light and have great traction. I would get you a picture of the tread, but I still got a stubborn piece of dogshit on the bottom of the right one that hasn't come off yet. Stock photos: images.ashx 2312779-p-MULTIVIEW.jpg That second picture is the waterproof version, but the tread is the same. I was just now looking up the specs to get the weight and it says 14oz.......not sure if that's per shoe or pe…

I had English Pointers growing up as we had a lot of quail back then. Right before I got out of the Navy I bought a male and female to raise and train. Both were pups so I had my dad pick the…

  • Quote from OzJacko: “In 2012 a guy called Loner hiked the trail and made about 50+ videos all on YouTube. Whilst like everyone he has a lot of stuff that is about him I found he was more interesting than most. ” Loner lives near me and his videos were really good. Great guy! I've also been following Gator Miller's and Crystal Weaver's videos that Grinder linked to above. 3rd shift is rather boring so I watch a lot of trail videos and documentaries at night, lol.

Quote from TrafficJam: “I'm thinking about reading the Genghis Khan series by Conn Iggulden. Has anyone read it? ” Since you like audio books do yourself a favor and go to Dan Carlin's Hardcore History podcast and download the five part "Wrath of the Khans" and listen to that instead.

  • Nope, not hiking, she's completely averse to such, lol. She LOVES the movie Grease and I love small towns and the things that make them tick so I decided to kill two birds with one stone. The next town over, population 130, didn't take it lightly when their beautiful old school was scheduled to be torn down so they formed the Mill Town Players and took over the auditorium, giving the State reason enough to hand over the school to the town. Now they're putting on Grease and it's getting some real…

  • Quote from OzJacko: “Not really unless you are very remote or a small child etc. Fatalities from our various snakes are very rare. But you need to act correctly. Pressure bandage. Immobilise the limb and as far as practical, the person. Recent studies are suggesting that for most healthy adults antivenom is not really necessary. Remember that our snakes while highly venomous, inject very small quantities. You will be very ill for a while though. ” Did anyone else hear Sheldon Cooper's voice whil…

I surveyed by myself today and ran a 2200' line through a clearcut.
