About 48 out of 50 folks fishing from the bank will be glad to overload you with advice on bait, what’s biting, and good locations. Well, maybe not the good locations.

    As soon as my normally nonmotivated to read buddy turns it loose, I’m reading ‘Shoot like a Girl’ by M. J. Hagar. She served three Afganistan tours as a search and rescue helicopter pilot. It must be good as he’s still reading the book.

    Just started Alexandra Petri’s ‘A Field Guide to Akward Silences’. A funny read but mostly not applicable to balanced individuals. But on second thought, are folks willing to endure the rigors of a 2100+ mile hike in a variety of weather conditions, most of which are unpleasant, balanced?

    Recently hiked a local trail to a bowl with two blind hikers. This trail is normally snowshoe only at this time of year. However we encountered a dry trail with mud in the shaded areas.     The jazz musical scene lost Hugh Masekela yesterday. Known for his trumpet playing, song writing, singing, as well as political activism he succumbed to cancer.
