When our daughter was in elementary school, 1993 if memory serves, we camped in the Cades Cove campground for about 5 days. Great time. We drove the Cades Cove loop several times. Once we went to the parking lot for the Abrams Fall trail and hiked it. Another time we just drove the loop watching for the wildlife; we saw deer and about 4-5 bears. There also was a concession where you could ride horses on a trail ride, my memory is that just my daughter and I did so and the husband declined. Even …

OMO: You can't really drive from MI to Raleigh an NOT cross it. Mrs OMO: Can't we go for a drive on it. OMO: Well it goes from SNP (points over left shoulder) to GSMNP (points over right shoulder) and we are going to Raleigh (points straight ahead). Mrs OMO: How about for just a little? OMO: What time do you want to get to Raleigh? Mrs OMO: As soon as…

Definitely not a good time for Spartan sports. But on the bright side, you were on one of the prettiest campuses in the nation.

And for the presidential election. 45 can't manage money either and I believe that the people who voted for Kemp likely voted for Trump as well. So, I don't think that managing money had much to do with the outcome of the Georgia gubernatorial race. More likely, color and gender. And I daresay, that Abrams would have managed the response to the pandemic better.

The way I've been getting some joy is Dog Twitter and also the videos that my daughter sends of Bella being ferocious with the octopus toy that I gave her for Christmas. When my daughter visited in February, she brought the octopus and I repaired it. When she sent a new video this week, she said she doesn't think that the octopus is going to survive the Stay At Home. Well at least Bella is enjoying flinging it from side to side and chewing on the head and beeping the beeper in its head. And I'm …

When my Dad was 10, he helped my Dziadzia (grandfather) and Wujek (uncle) build a cottage. There were only dirt roads to access it when I was growing up that were used infrequently. So, when I was about 12, when Dad turned off the local road onto the dirt road, he would let me steer, even though there were several steep turns. He would also let me steer on the way back home until we reached the main road. When I was about 14, he began letting me drive, that is, also use the gas pedal and brake. …
