Sooner if the company forces me into it. I enjoy being an enginerd, but enough is enough. As far as what I'll do in retirement, "so many projects, so little time." I'll still be busy, but the mix will have a lot more work pro bono populo. Assuming that Mother Nature spares my hea…

I already sent Coach Lou regrets for this year, but it looks as if the alignment of the stars is shifting. My feet are both OK at the moment, my eye surgeon has bless…

16 years ago I took a 2/3 pay cut to switch jobs so I would have more time to spend with my children. Was it the right/wrong thing to do? Well I could go on and on and back-n-forth with that for a while. Although I know I never would have coached one my sons in the Dixie World Series, hiked 1,850 miles of the AT, and had the opportunity to teach all of my three sons five times in college if I had not done it (along with a lot of other memories). Best advice I have for you is to talk with your wi…

I thought it would be interesting to see how many miles we actually hike each year. So this poll is for the past year, 2018. - Please include all trails, not just the AT. - All miles hiked, not just new ones (I know some of some of us do a lot of out and backs, or local trails we hit hit often). - Counting hiking on trails, not just walking around the neighborhood or the local track. To make it look simpler I just put the levels, but 100 would be 100-249, 250 would be 250-499, etc..
