IMScotty, thanks for the link. Since it just stung my finger and I washed it off good right after I took the picture and killed the bug, I am thinking my chance of getting Chagas would be pretty slim. It did sting initially, but my wife made a baking powder paste that I put my finger in that got rid of the pain. Today other than a tiny red dot on my finger it is like it never happened.

Quote from odd man out: “I've been to one Buffet concert. That was back in the early '80s during his Volcano tour. I remember he had animated palm trees on state that would move in time with the music. Lots of fun. ” Pretty neat when they play it in his restaurant too.

Quote from odd man out: “OK, I have a question for you baseball experts. It seems to me that when a batter hits a fly ball down the base line and a fielder catches the ball very close to the line, the umpire always makes a point to call it as a fair ball (out) or a foul ball (out). Why does it matter if it is fair or foul? ” Perhaps he is just practicing. He has to be ready to make the call in case the fielder drops it. And with instant replay in MLB you never know what might be overturned.

My recommendation would be: Year 1 April/May 825 miles Year 2 May/June 825 miles Year 3 July/August 540 miles Believe me there is no comparison between the difficulty of the first 1790 miles and the last 400. So please do not think you can chop it into 3 equal sections. This will still give you 140 miles to get your legs before things start getting tougher.

Game represented the current state of MLB with 10 home runs and 25 strike outs. Throw in the 9 walks, and that makes 44 "ultimate outcomes", meaning 4.4 batters per inning did not put a ball in play (for the defense to field). Makes we wonder if that is a record.

Quote from Astro: “Earlier posts were about "silly" pitching stat rules. Charlie Morton currently set to have blown save and win if AL lead holds up. ” So instead Diaz comes in and blows 2 run lead in the 9th and gets the win due to AL scoring in the top of the 10th.
