    jeff hoch passed away last night. RIP jeff. you've earned your wings "Last night Jeff Hoch owner of the Hike Inn left this earth. We are going to miss him. We will see him again. His knowledge of the AT was valuable to all of the hikers along with all the shuttles. He loved Nancy and his family and their life in the mountains. He will be missed but know we all will see him again."

    rasty and i stayed with jeff and nancy hoch at hike inn during my 2014 lash. jeff has cancer that has now spread to his brain. these warm, wonderful people need your love and your prayers. this was posted on fb this morning by his daughter in law: "Some of you has met Jeff & Nancy Hoch at Fontana Dam at The Hike Inn.   • those guys are all climbing legends and knew their shot.patagonia is a pretty extreme environment, the weather usually absolutely sucks. its a shame, but i dont think any one of them was unprepared.
