  • Thanks for all the advise. I found an Osprey Atmos AG65 for $60.00 plus shipping. It's in really good shape however the guy was wrong on the size. Luckily it fit my son so it worked out. Now I have to save my pennies so I can buy myself one.

  • I guess the first question is should I buy a used pack? I was looking at purchasing an Osprey. From all the articles I have read and videos I have watched they seem to be one of the best. If I purchase a used pack and there are issues with it will they still honor the lifetime warranty? is there anything specific I should be paying attention to before buying a used pack?

  • Thanks for the tips everyone. I have ton of research to do so I'l sure I'll be asking more questions. All 4 of us love to hike and we have done some camping just nothig of this magnitude so it should be interesting.

  • A friend of mine and I have both have 11 year old boys and we were thinking of thanking them on the trail for a week to a week and a hallf. Neigher of the boys have any real hiking experience. We have camped before and that went well. Just curious if anyone else has attempted what we are contomplating, and if so how did it go?
