Many animals do not have nervous systems similar to ours. Ever cut yourself and not notice it until you saw or felt the blood? Deer that have been shot clean thru with an arrow have been known to continue feeding and then drop dead. It happens. It's hanging in a locker aging for weeks before it can be cut, vac packed and shipped to me. Makes a bull much more tender. I hope to get it in February.
