Took a look at the weather report and noticed the winds are suppose to be from the south all day, so I'm going to ride south and have a headwind all the way down towards St. Augustine. I found two of the caterpillars on some milkweed in very early January. On 26 Jan, one walked off and the other climbed on a tomato cage and formed into the J-shape on the morning of 26 Jan and by the late afternoon it had formed into a chrysalis. I brought him into the house a couple days later, because of some freeze warnings and taped him to a cabinet above the kitchen sink. If it does dip down here, it's always associated with a bitter cold northwest wind. I've started seeing robins showing up here, which means that the worst of the winter is over... for this area; we'll see if that holds true for this year. I've started my warm-weather crops.
